Le short - shorts

The French word is colour coded to represent the difference between masculine words (blue) and feminine words (red).

Making sentences plural in French
REMEMBER jeans, English, are always plural

Le short est bleu. The shorts are blue.
Les shorts sont bleus. The shorts are blue.

NB The plural ‘s’ is added to the noun and the adjective.

NB Colours come AFTER the noun and have to agree with the noun they describe.

le vélo bleu the blue bike
la voiture bleue the blue car

Qu’est-ce que tu portes? What are you wearing?
Je porte un short bleu. I’m wearing some blue shorts.

Où est ton short? Where are your shorts?

Est-ce que tu as vu mon short? Have you seen my shorts?
