It is colour coded to represent the difference between masculine words (blue) and feminine words (red).

The plural of l’ is les

La jupe est jaune. The skirt is yellow.
Les jupes sont jaunes. The skirts are yellow.

NB The plural ‘s’ is added to the noun and the adjective.

NB Colours come AFTER the noun and have to agree with the noun they describe.

Je porte une jupe jaune. I’m wearing a yellow skirt.
