Remind the children that the French do not use the little letters th, st, nd and rd after the number.

C'est quand ton anniversaire? When's your birthday?
Quelle est la date de ton anniversaire? What's the date of your birthday?

C'est le 25 janvier. It's 25th January.
Mon anniversaire est le 25 janvier. My birthday's on 25th January.

NB 6th JANUARY IS EPITHANY
Twelth Night also known as Epithany celebrates the visit of the Magi (three wise men) to Jesus.

In France it is celebrated with a cake called "Galette des Rois" which is made of puff pastry and can be plain or filled with frangipane, an almond-flavoured paste.
It is sold in all French bakeries and eating the galetteat the beginning of January is still a very popular tradition.
